The End is Near

Only 4.5 days left of summer vacation *sigh*. I love my job and miss the folks I work with but I'm going to miss my summer time fun :o)

He's My One and Only

Tomorrow is our 24th wedding anniversary. Who knew we had such staying power?! I know a lot of folks say their spouse is great but mine really is!

He's loving, thoughtful, funny, romantic, dedicated, patient, consistent, and very indulgent. He treats me like I'm precious to him, writes me love notes, makes the first pot of coffee every morning, brings flowers for no reason and cleans up after himself.

He knows how to fix a shelf as well as scrub a toilet; he does all the long distance driving, all the heavy lifting and all the grilling. When he goes away on business he always brings me a gift, sometimes jewelry, sometimes a fridge magnet :o) just so I'll know he was thinking of me.

I trully could not imagine my life without him. I am blessed :o)

Washington, DC

A most glorious day spent with N walking around DC. The weather was perfect; it was warm with a light breeze and the skies were crystal clear. We strolled thru the Enid Haupt Garden outside of the Smithsonian Castle then went to the Freer Gallery of Art. The Washington Monument was appreciated once again on the the way to our main objective....the WWII Memorial. It was absolutely beautiful :o) The pale smooth stone, bronze work, wreaths, columns and of course the fountains were all fabulous. It was soothing and peaceful; a wonderful place to reflect.
